The German army, the "disarmed"; 66 reconnaissance aircraft, only 29 fly

Just two days before the vote in the Bundestag on the actions, the German media made public a report of the Ministry of Defense claiming that only 29 of 66 aircraft "tornado" of the country are ready for flight.

Head of the ministry, Ursula von der Leyen tried however to clarify that the proposed mission in Syria but does not require such disclosure 6 aircraft.

Chief of Staff of the German Army, Volker Wieker was quoted as saying that the condition of the domestic flight systems is unsatisfactory.

The ministry report blames the problem "lack of state of some spare parts."

"30" Twister "are ready for action, we need only 6. The difference is pretty big," said von der Leyen, who added however that any military mission in Syria can be long and dangerous.
