France, COP21-GCP: 36 billion tons of carbon dioxide pollution in 2014


In 2014, global pollution generated by the use of fossil fuels and industrial activity amounted to 36 billion tons of carbon dioxide (CO2), an increase of 0.6 percent compared with a year ago.
China is the first world polluter and is responsible for the production of 9.7 billion tonnes, or a quarter of all pollution (27 percent).
These data published by "Global Carbon Project" under which second place is the United States with 5.6 billion tons of CO2 (15 per cent of the total).
While the EU is better by generating only 3.4 billion tons of CO2, or 10 percent of the total.
On the other hand CO2 generated from India has grown to 2.6 billion tons (7.2 percent of total).
While, in terms of pollution per capita, the United States is in first place with 17.4 tons of CO2 per capita, China with our 7,1, 6,8 our Europe and India a little less than two tons.
