US President Barack Obama came in a press conference in connection with the massacre of San Bernardinos, that killed 14 people.
Obama said the killings were "an act of terrorism intended to kill innocent people," but added that "freedom is stronger than fear" and that Americans should stick together, because this is the only way to resist extremists.
"America will overcome the threat of terrorism, but must not turn against each other, defining the battle as a war between America and Islam. If we want to defeat terrorism, we must consider our Muslim communities as more powerful allies, "Obama said.
The US president also said his country should make it difficult for potential assassins weapons purchases.
