Rover.com, a website that matches dog owners with dog care providers did a survey to find out what this years most popular pooch names are.
The top 10 male names:

The top 10 female names:
  1. Bella
  2. Lucy
  3. Daisy
  4. Molly

  7. Maggie
  8. Sophie
  9. Chloe
  10. Railey
Names in the top 10 dog name list also appear on the top 100 baby name list. These names are Max, Charlie, Cooper and Jack for boys and Bella, Lucy, Sadie, Sophie and Chloe for girls.
Pop culture references are always popular, and 10% of the 100 000 dogs looked at in the survey had a pop culture character name. Names  from Star Wars, Harry Potter and The Hunger Games have increased, while names from Games of Thrones, Twilight and The Walking Dead have decreased.
