This Sunday in France held the first round of local elections, where the National Front of Marine Le Pen, a far-right party that opposes immigration, is voted in at least 6 of the 13 regions in France.
These elections are seen as a test of public support to the government in response to attacks on 13 November.
The center-right Republicans led by former President Nicolas Sarkozy rank second before the ruling Socialist Party, at least according to exit-poll-eve issued immediately after the close of polls. National Front had about 30.8% of the vote, Republicans Sarkozy with 27.2% and third rank of President Francois Hollande's Socialists with 22.7% of the vote.
Addressing supporters, Marine Le Pen said Sunday's elections has come a remarkable result, proving that the National Front was the first party in France.
The second round of elections will be held a week later, on 13 December.
